Thushan Ranasinghe

Thushan Ranasinghe is a Senior at Urbana High School, Fredrick MD. He is the president of the High School Computer Science club and member of the Math Honor Society. Thushan is an Eagle Scout of Boys Scout of America and is a Senior Patrol Leader of the scout troop 796: He led troop in various community activities, plan and led council meetings and mentored younger scouts. Thushan is a member of the school varsity swim team and cross-country team.

He enjoys coding and playing video games in his free time.

Shara Aditya

Shara realizes her passion for helping needy communities by engaging in the HSGWA mission. She acts as the volunteer webmaster at HSCGWA. She enjoys utilizing her creative and technical skills to promote HSCGWA’s projects via online channels.

Shara is a senior at Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda, MD. She is an avid track athlete and enjoys dancing as a hobby.

Sanjana Ranasinghe

Sanjana Ranasinghe is a junior at Urbana High School, Frederick, MD. She is the president of the School Green Club and the blood drive coordinator of the Red Cross club. As a president of the Green Club, she closely works with the Urbana Middle and Elementary schools organizing club activities such as recycling, composting and reducing food waste. She is also a member of the Varsity Athletic team. As a Senior Patrol Leader of the Scout of America Troop 3017, she organizes and participate numerous community service activities.

She enjoys reading and running in her free time and she love to participate in community service activities.

Laranya Mitali

A student at North Bethesda Middle School, Laranya cherishes volunteer work. She loves ice skating and drawing.

Anika Herath

Anika Herath is a senior at Marriotts Ridge High School. She is a member of National Honor Society and National Music Honor Society. She participates in the school marching band as a proud mellophone. She was a patrol leader of the Scouts of America Troop 944 and participates in numerous community activities as a scout. She successfully conducted a shoe and clothing drive to help Sri Lanka.

She enjoys playing tennis, drawing, and playing the piano.

Jinali Herath

Jinali Herath is a sophomore at Marriotts Ridge High School. She volunteers at the Howard County Library and is a member of the Teen advisory board. She is active with Scouts troop 944 and has participated many volunteer and community activities. She is a member of the speech and debate club at her school.

She enjoys reading and drawing.
